Santa Pilots Bring Christmas Cheer to Remote PNG Communities

Updated: Apr 2, 2019

Story and Photos by Mandy Glass.

MAF pilots in Papua New Guinea (PNG), Mathias Glass and Satish Moka were ‘Santa Pilots’ this week!

Mt. Hagen based Cessna Caravan pilots Mathias Glass and Satish Moka brought joy to various bush villages when they were flying during the week leading up to Christmas.

Disembarking the aircraft with their eye-catching red headgear, they were quickly surrounded by a crowd of people! However, they did not have a sack full of gifts for everyone, but a little something to pass on: Mathias' wife, Mandy, was able to source little Tok Pisin picture booklets with bible stories through the Lae based printshop of the Evangelical Brotherhood Church of PNG.

The children at the landing sites literally pulled the booklets out of the pilots’ hands! And yes, there were many more children than booklets!

Please pray with us that these short stories get read to the children in their bush houses or Sunday School classes, and that the message of God's love touches them.
